The Lounge International Student Centre

A safe space by international students for international students

About

The Lounge International Student Centre is a welcoming space designed to support the unique needs of international students in Geelong. We offer a vibrant community where students can connect, access vital resources, and take part in events that promote well-being, cultural exchange, and personal development.

Whether you’re looking for a place to unwind, meet new people, or develop professional skills, the Lounge provides a safe and inclusive environment where students are build up to thrive. We believe in fostering a strong sense of belonging through collaboration, compassion, and support.

— Kai W. Kassie/ Program Coordinator

Inspired by the success of The Couch International Student Centre in Melbourne, the Lounge was established to bring a similar sense of community and opportunity to Geelong.

Funded by the Study Melbourne Inclusion Program and now the Anthony Costa Foundation, the Lounge is supported by incredible partners including The Gordon, Allianz Care, Deakin College, the Salvation Army, Study Geelong, and Geelong Food Relief Centre.

But that’s not all – we are proud to collaborate with a wide range of student and community organizations, ensuring that the Lounge remains a dynamic and ever-evolving space for international students.
